Weeds Hosting the Soybean Cyst Nematode (Heterodera glycines Ichinohe): Management Implications in Agroecological Systems

چکیده
The soybean cyst nematode (SCN; Heterodera glycines Ichinohe) is a major soybean-yield-limiting soil-borne pathogen, especially in the Midwestern US. Weed management recommended for SCN integrated management, since some weed species have been reported to be hosts SCN. increase occurrence of resistance herbicides complicates and may further direct ecological–evolutionary (eco–evo) feedbacks plant–pathogen complexes, including interactions between host plants In this review, we summarize US outline potential weed–SCN interactions. Plants from 23 families SCN, with Fabaceae most species. Out 116 weeds hosts, 14 known herbicide-resistant biotypes 8 herbicide sites action. Factors influencing ability are environmental edaphic conditions, initial inoculum, population levels, variations susceptibility within population. association on relatively little fitness cost incurred by latter decrease competitive crop reproduction when present, feeding back into probability selecting biotypes. Therefore, proper should focus pest (IPM) strategies prevent eco–evo cropping system.

The mitochondrial genome of the soybean cyst nematode, Heterodera glycines.
We sequenced the entire coding region of the mitochondrial genome of Heterodera glycines. The sequence obtained comprised 14.9 kb, with PCR evidence indicating that the entire genome comprised a single, circular molecule of approximately 21-22 kb. The genome is the most T-rich nematode mitochondrial genome reported to date, with T representing over half of all nucleotides on the coding strand. ...
متن کاملEffects of Rhizobacteria on Soybean Cyst Nematode, Heterodera glycines.
Rhizobacteria were isolated from the rhizoplane and rhizosphere of soybean plants from fields in Arkansas and tested for their effect on numbers of soybean cyst nematode (Heterodera glycines). In initial greenhouse tests in heat-treated silt loam soil, 138 of the 201 bacterial isolates tested had no influence on numbers of cysts and eggs + second-stage juveniles (J2) of H. glycines, 36 reduced ...
متن کاملManagement of the soybean cyst nematode Heterodera glycines with combinations of different rhizobacterial strains on soybean
Soybean cyst nematode (SCN) is the most damaging soybean pest worldwide. To improve soybean resistance to SCN, we employed a soybean seed-coating strategy through combination of three rhizobacterial strains, including Bacillus simple, B. megaterium and Sinarhizobium fredii at various ratios. We found seed coating by such rhizobacterial strains at a ratio of 3:1:1 (thereafter called SN101) produ...

Heterodera glycines is a cyst nematode that causes significant lost soybean yield in the U.S. Recent studies observed the aphid Aphis glycines and H. glycines interacting via their shared host, soybean, Glycine max. A greenhouse experiment was conducted to discern the effect of A. glycines feeding on H. glycines reproduction. An H. glycines-susceptible cultivar, Kenwood 94, and a resistant cult...
